I am a woman on a mission.
I have a young family, and beekeeping is my calming hobby. My bees are treated with love and are well cared for. I only take excess honey that they won’t miss. Bees are hoarders by nature, and over-store food so they won’t starve. I ensure they are well cared for by checking their stores and managing them with as little interference as possible. Bees are fascinating creatures and their interactions within the colony is so incredible to watch. So it’s not just about the honey. I take their welfare seriously and there are so many aspects to beekeeping. Please browse the items I have for sale. It helps maintain my hobby!
Locally produced honey is completely unadulterated, it’s handspun in my kitchen and gently strained; keeping all pollen and enzymes intact.
Help support beekeepers and bees by buying local instead of supermarkets, where the honey is often imported.
I am registered with the local council for hygiene & food safety. I am also the Chair of Newcastle & District Beekeepers.

I am a hobby beekeeper, so I manage bees for fun! (Well mostly)
Bees are wild, so you can’t really ‘keep’ them. Only give them a nice box to live in and feed in times of dearth. Sometimes they repay the favour with a little additional honey they don’t need, and sometimes they make so much; I can sell the surplus! I am a small concern in the heart of Northumberland, everything is done from my kitchen or the field. My long-suffering husband has enabled me, so he can’t really grumble. It’s an excellent way of being calm and giving back to the environment, as I plant forage to help other pollinators. It’s not just about honey bees.
My apiaries are dotted around the beautiful county of Northumberland.
